Prophetic Studies Institute Evangelistic Outreach Program

Many motor sport sanctioning bodies have Chaplains embedded in their organizations, the result being the Word of God is freely expressed at all of their events (eg. NHRA, IHRA, NASCAR, SCCA and more). However no such programs exist in the motor sport of truck/tractor pulling. This leaves a void wherein the Gospel is neither heard nor promoted except by a few individuals.

Through a series of events this past summer the Lord has shown this void to us. He has further provided us with a vision, that vision is the manner in which we are to carry His Word to those involved in this type of motor sports activity.

I believe He has prepared me for this type of ministry, through events in my life. Having been involved in several types of motor sport activities (the last of which was several years of campaigning a Super Stock 4X4 Truck), I am familiar with this type of motor sports and the people involved in it. These people have the same needs as everyone else, they need Christ. The method of reaching them is however different from what is effective in other venues.

The Prophetic Studies Institute approach is three pronged, the exhibition of a unique, high end piece of machinery, along with the personal interaction of committed followers of Christ as crew members and a book that tells the story of this truck with parallels to the condition of man.

Some explanation is necessary. Vehicles entered in this type of competition are all given a name, such as "Lost in Time" (old truck), "Empty Pockets", "Loose Change", "Blue Ox" etc..  The truck is a 1947 Dodge Panel truck named "Born Again". This particular truck was destined for a pit, from which it could never be retrieved when it's life had expired. Sounds like my life and that of all man kind.  Yet this same truck found grace and is about to see new life and greater empowerment. The parallels are unmistakable. That is the short story. The accompanying book will present the long story and the details (the book has been started, it is being written by an accomplished Christian author). More on this at a future date.

Motor sport enthusiasts appreciate and are attracted by impressive machinery, to that end here are some of the details of this project, (due to the competitive nature of motor sports and the possible commercial conflicts affiliated with this project, all attempts will be made to inform you without enticement to commercialization).

-Truck body is a 1947 Dodge Panel with fiberglass fenders
-Motor is a factory Chrysler iron Hemi Block with 3/4" stroker crank. Which yields 560 C.I.
-1471 BDS Supercharger with Enderle Bird Catcher injection
-Modified Chrysler Iron Heads with aftermarket rocker gear and valves
-Transmission 727 Chrysler TorqueFlite with close ratio aftermarket planetary gears
-Custom built Torque converter
-Front Axle was made with Jeep and IH Scout front axle pieces
-Front Suspension coil over shocks with four link
-Rear Tires 18.4x34-15 Puller Tires
-Frame and chassis will be a custom twin rail design
- Rear Axle is a conglomeration of pieces from several sources
          -Center Section 14000# Dana 70
          -Outer Ends are planetaries from the front of a 4x4 farm tractor
          -Axle Shafts are custom made
