Our Purpose and our missionOur purpose and our challenge, is to make the study of prophecy understandable and not fearsome to you. Clarity on this subject is essential to our understanding of the character of the Creator. The fact that our outlook on today’s events depends greatly upon our view of future events may not be immediately evident however; as you progress in your knowledge in the prophetic word (and all of Gods word) this theme will become more evident. It is important for all of us to have a working knowledge of prophecy to aid our understanding in many other areas of the Scripture. Prophecy proves the truth of God’s Word, and reveals God’s sovereignty over history. The most important key is to have a Hebraic perspective. We must acknowledge the fact that every prophecy in the Bible was given to a person of Hebrew lineage. The idioms, word plays, and symbols are common and familiar to one who is educated in Hebrew traditions. We are often at a great disadvantage because these things are foreign to us. We wish to assist you in a number of these otherwise confusing issues. My personal experience has taught me that most people are unaware of the Hebrew aspects of Scripture. In my opinion is that this lack of understanding has led to some very interesting but erroneous views of coming events. Our challenge is to remember this fact no matter what our background may be. We all carry with us remnants of our individual upbringing. These things are known as presuppositions, and they can shield us from a clear understanding of things that we desperately wish to understand. We are here to help all those that wish to understand Gods Word from a Hebraic perspective. Our desire is to edify the church and reach the lost through the use of Gods prophetic word. In the name of Yeshua HaMashiach Dr. Terry Cartwright |
